One common issue tenants face is getting an eviction notice.  State laws vary on what is required to evict a tenant from rental property.  We will be adding information on eviction to this website in the future, including the special rules that apply to eviction from base housing.

On May 20, 2009 President Obama signed a law that gives some new protections to most tenants whose landlords are going through foreclosure. The law takes effect immediately. Here is the gist of the law:

As a member of the Armed Forces, Reserves, National Guard or other uniformed services, you have legal protections for you and your family when you are called into active duty military service.
