Finding a lawyer for a CAVC Appeal

March 18, 2024
Question

I filed my appeal with the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims but feel like I need an attorney in case anything else comes up.  Where can I find a lawyer who can help even though I have already filed?

Answer

To find a lawyer for your appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, you can apply by mail or email to the Veterans Consortium (TVC) Pro Bono Program and find out if you are eligible for free representation.

TVC Pro Bono Program is 100% free--you will never have to pay for services they provide. No one from the Pro Bono Program will ever ask you for money or any portion of back benefits received.

You can also call TVC Pro Bono Program directly:

(888) 838-7727 (toll-free); press option 3
(202) 628-8164, press option 3

If you find out you don't qualify for TVC's services, please go to Find Legal Help to find an attorney near you.
